Summer is the easiest time to wear neon. I like wearing pops of it all year round though. This is a neon top form Libby Story and some southwestern stripe shorts from Forever 21. The necklace I got in New York from a street vendor 4 years ago and I still absolutely love it. It's funny the pieces you never get tired of are usually the ones you would least expect. This piece gets comments every time I wear it. The scarf on my head is from Libby Story also. The girls won't have to look very hard to find me at work today, that's for sure! Hope everyone has a fabulous day!

Who will you be?
Top: Mink Pink Skirt: Vintage Socks: Free People Shoes: Mia
This quote describes it perfectly. Sometimes you just get this idea in your head and nothing else will do. Who will you be today?

Plant Babies
I thought I would give everyone another glimpse into my little nest. This is one of my favorite areas of my apartment. I have a love for plants.. ESPECIALLY plants that are easy to keep alive. Succulents and air plants are perfect. I water mine about once every 2-3 weeks, make sure they get some sunlight and they do just fine. I'm not sure why I love cactus plants so much. Maybe it stems from my love of pretty much anything with a southwestern vibe. I like to plant them in random little tea cups and other things I find at the thrift store. Seeing them in my window every day just makes me happy. Little things like that make living in a small apartment a little more bearable.
Sorry about the lack of posts. I am actually packing my little nest up this week to move into our new house. We are moving in a whole month early which has kind of taken me by surprise. BUT I am very excited. I will be posting some pictures of our new place when we get it settled.
Have a good weekend! Do something fun! Relax.. enjoy people you love! I hope I can find a little time to do that as well!

Mississippi Summer
I have been wearing scarves in my hair so much this summer. It gets so hot in Mississippi wearing your hair down in the summer is almost impossible. Scarves are a good way to make a hair updo look fun... they also make you look like you put a little more time into your look-- even if you really didn't. This top is from Libby Story and the jeans are some old lady pants from the thrift store. Scarf in my hair is vintage too.

Cat Lady
I'm a cat lady at heart. I know I won't end up being a real cat lady because I am engaged.... and Adam doesn't really share in my love for cats. Here comes the good news... there are so many awesome, quirky animal t shirts floating around right now. I am loving all the quirky designs. I got this cat tank from Libby Story recently. I decided to put it over a denim dress that I got from Forever 21 a while back. If you want to double your outfit options with items that are already in your closet just start putting tops over dresses. You will find that the combos are endless.. just knot them if they are longer and loose.
I finished off the look with a sock bun, some readers, and some lace up Mia sandals from Urban Outfitters. Who says being a cat lady is bad thing?

BOLO.
Bolo ties are so quirky and fun. I have collected a few vintage ones that I am really fond of. My favorite way to wear them is like this-- pulled all the way up. I do like wearing them pulled down too with slouchy t shirts. Top features another AMAZING print by Mink Pink- no surprise there.
Quirky trends are fun to try and they are guaranteed to make you feel unique!

Camo
I'm really into camo right now. I just got two really good pieces on sale from Urban Outfitters.. a pair of cargo pants and this skirt. I will wear the cargo pants soon. You will die when I tell you how much I paid for this skirt... $9. Yes, really. You can find it here. I want a camo t shirt and I keep meaning to raid my dad's drawer but I forget every time I go home. Maybe I'll get it together one day.
Skirt and shoes- Urban Outfitters. Both tops and necklace- Libby Story.
